CRPF constable Jeet Singh, hailing from Mathura's Sahuja Thok village, put a video on January 11 in which he claims that despite of putting more hours comparatively into our duties. the facilities provided to the CRPF personnel are not at par with the ones provided to the Indian Army.

Parrikar said he will not be able to comment much about the BSF issue as it comes under the home ministry.

"Our IG has got in touch with him and asked about his grievances".

"This is our responsibility to think about the welfare of our jawans".

Jeet Singh, a constable of the 87 Battalion, had posted a video urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to look into the conditions of the force personnel in camps along the border areas. "Jeet Singh also stated that" no one understands our pain and we also don't have ex-servicemen quota and are given no medical facilities.

However, CRPF authorities responded by saying that Singh has only "voiced his aspirations" for the force, not complained about any organisation.

In the other video, a BSF man has complained about poor quality food served to them in icy weather condition on the border in Jammu and Kashmir.

In the video clip, the CRPF jawan spoke about the difference in the quality of the food provided to army personnel and CRPF personnel. Singh compared his pay with that of the Indian Army soldiers and said that even though both the forces are required to work in the same manner, there is a huge discrimination in the pay scales. "We have made it clear that if there are any problems to the troops, we will address them immediately", said CRPF Director General K Durga Prasad.

Yadav had alleged that he was often forced to sleep empty stomach even though there's no dearth of food supply to the armed forces.

"We are taking the issue very seriously", Rijiju said.

On Thursday, Puran Chand Arya filed a public-interest petition in the Delhi High Court asking it to order the government to take action against the officers who are engaged in irregularities and help save the morale of the soldiers.

The CRPF, which is India's largest paramilitary force, said it has already taken a note of the issues raised by the constable.
