Miranda GreerJan 20, 2017

The Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday registered a preliminary enquiry against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in connection with the government's social media campaign "Talk to AK".

On his part, Sisodia dared the investigating agency to arrest him. Mr Sisodia said that Delhi government will study the recommendations made by Delhi Minorities Commission in this report and will also consider the suggestions therein for improving and ameliorating the social, educational and economic conditions of the people belonging to minority communities inDelhi.

"Manish kept waiting for the CBI, but it did not come". "Just when Kejriwal on January 17 announced April 15 as the date when Majithia will be sent to jail, Modiji got hurt and unleashed CBI after AAP leaders", Pandey told reporters. "I am being punished for creating world class facilities for school children unlike governments who push them towards drugs", the Deputy CM said. "The ministers want to work on projects on which they can seek votes, while the officers want to work on projects that may look fancy on their work reports", he said. I invited them to come and arrest me. They should understand that they are affecting the future of 26 lakh children of Delhi and causing me no personal harm. "We sell this idea in Punjab and people are buying it", said the Delhi education minister.

The CBI had registered preliminary enquiries against Sisodia and Saumya in two separate cases.

According to the Vigilance Department complaint, the Delhi government had hired a consultant of a famous public relations company to promote "Talk to AK" campaign.

Delhi Home Minister Satyendar Jain said there was no irregularity in the "Talk to AK" programme. "As a policy, the government has no system for either payment in advance or through credit cards while some of the fora on which "Talk To AK" was publicised only take payment through credit card". The bill is still pending.

Sisodia accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of triggering the CBI action. "When you are losing Goa and Punjab, you have started the CBI game..." the chief minister tweeted. Sisodia today tweeted, "Welcome Modiji". But now, the CBI has been activated and let loose.
