Mark Sanchez's contract with Bears to pay him $2M in 2017

That improved a bit with the Philadelphia Eagles but dipped again during his time with the Dallas Cowboys.

His addition hasn't ruled out the Bears drafting a quarterback in the first round, but his presence combined with Glennon suggests Chicago will look elsewhere with the third pick.

The Bears gave Mark Sanchez a one year contract, which caused the majority of Bears' fans to lose their minds, but in my opinion, he's only coming in as a potential #3 QB.

The 30-year-old Sanchez, the New York Jets' 2009 first-round pick (fifth overall) out of USC, visited with the Bears on Thursday and now joins his fifth National Football League team.

Sanchez, the USC product, played in just two games as a backup with the Cowboys last season, completing 10 of his 18 passing attempts for 93 yards.

But he is a veteran backup capable of stepping in and starting some games. Jay Cutler was released by the Bears and hasn't found a new team just yet. I have a decent idea how that ends, and if the 49ers are not competing for a playoff spot this season, I can easily find entertainment from the Bears QB depth chart.

The Bears signed Glennon to a three-year $45 million contract, but in reality they can get out with relative ease after one year.

The Bears are still expected to strongly consider selecting a quarterback in the upcoming draft.
