Gunman barricades himself in bus in Las Vegas

A gunman has barricaded himself inside a bus along the Las Vegas Strip, prompting a partial closure of the busy boulevard.

One person is dead and another wounded after a shooting on a bus in Las Vegas, but the suspect remained barricaded inside in a tense standoff, police said. Police stood watch near the bus.

One victim was brought to University Medical Center of Southern Nevada's trauma center in an unknown condition, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. They added there is no "credible information" that there is a second suspect.

The Las Vegas Sun reported that one person was killed and another injured in the shooting that took place near The Cosmopolitan.

We're now investigating a shooting that occurred on S. Las Vegas Blvd. near Harmon.

After initial reports of a possible active shooter situation, police say that is not the case.

Police say 1 person has been shot. Police are advising people to avoid the area.
