John Legend surprises commuters with an impromptu piano performance at St Pancras

ABC/Eddy ChenCommuters in London's bustling St. Pancras International train station were met with a surprise performance from John Legend Wednesday, kicking off International Piano Day.

The La La Land star finished the set by standing on his piano stool to take a bow and blow a kiss to the cheering crowd. Do they still have that piano there?'

Some fans were left gutted on learning that he had made a brief appearance in the capital and flocked to Twitter to express their disappointment at missing him.

Another posted: "If I had got the train before I would have seen @johnlegend at St Pancras oh my god".

Legend hinted that he was planning to perform in a tweet, sent just as he was arriving from Paris.

Live Nation UK posted video of Legend's arrival and performance.

John, who is married to model to Chrissy Teigen, was promoting his upcoming world tour which reaches the United Kingdom in September. "It's a gift. Love, Elton John".
