Ford designs baby crib that mimics soothing auto ride

By having their baby fall asleep in the Max Motor Dream crib instead of in a auto, new parents already losing what Ford says is the equivalent of 44 days' sleep in the first year of their baby's life can avoid fatiguing late-night driving.

The crib features a speaker on the bottom which emulates the gentle noises of the engine, it rocks side to side gently to imitate the cars movements, and has a mesh screen all the way around it with LED's which can simulate street lights. Ford has been asking itself all these questions, apparently, because it just debuted a smart crib for infants that essentially mimics a vehicle ride. Ford explained how they borrowed the same technology from a auto. Yes, it is a smart baby crib. All it requires is that you go out for a night drive with their app open so it can record the cars movements and sound. Therefore, Ford came up with an idea which might save you a lot of time.

"After many years of talking to mums and dads, we know that the parents of newborns are often desperate for just one good night's sleep", said Max Motor Dreams designer Alejandro Lopes Bravo in a press release.

The Max Motor Dreams crib was conceived as part of an ad campaign for Ford's Max line of cars, according to CNN.

Ford says that it has no plans at the moment to produce and sell the crib, indicating that it's likely just a design concept.

Parents can control all the effects of the Max Motor Dreams by using an app on their phone, from the comfort of their own bed.
