Marshawn could turn his attention to the Patriots

Doyle BarkerApr 12, 2017

After all, Oakland has a very good chance of convincing Lynch to come out of retirement to suit up in the legendary black/silver uniform as the Raiders can be considered as "Marshawn's team". After meeting with the Oakland Raiders, there's talk that Beast Mode's eyeing a job with the New England Patriots and this is why I think that's a terrible idea. Lynch retired in 2016 in an announcement on Twitter, one year after Seattle's tough loss to New England in Super Bowl XLIX. Lynch is still under contract with the Seahawks, so even if he unretires Seattle would have to release or trade him to make him available.

Following their great season, the Raiders were unable to strike a longterm deal to stay in Oakland and will be moving to Los Angeles in a few years.

Lynch didn't play last season after calling it quits following 2015. He also has a roster bonus of $3 million that would kick in if he remains with the Raiders following the 2017 NFL Playoffs.

The Marshawn Lynch to Raiders rumors still seem to make the most sense, as he would be heading home to play the 2017 National Football League season.

Former Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson visited with the Patriots last week without striking a deal. Foster under contract. They still could bring back unrestricted free agent LeGarrette Blount, as well.

Well, unless you are a Seahawks fan like Macklemore. They all now have Super Bowl rings. But lest the Raiders think they can have him at a bargain basement discount, Beast Mode is said to be keeping his options open.
