La La Anthony separates from NY Knicks basketball star

Anthony has been dealing with rumors the New York Knicks were looking to trade him for months while he and the team struggled on the court.

La La and Carmelo have a 10-year-old son, Kiyan.

With the team, particularly president Phil Jackson, insisting to stick with the Triangle offense moving forward, New York's saviour might actually come from the Philippines.

La La and Carmelo Anthony have reportedly made a decision to separate after seven years of marriage.

TMZ reports that Carmelo and La La are not talking about a divorce. La La reportedly moved out of their New York City home sometime during the week of April 10 and has found her own place in the Big Apple.

Those same sources say the split is still amicable. Kiyan is their only child together.

Carmelo's National Basketball Association season has been extremely stressful, and it has allegedly taken its toll on their marriage.

The Anthonys got engaged in 2004 and married in July 2010. The couple now has no plans to uproot Kiyan from his school in NY.

'They were together just this past weekend at their son Kiyan's basketball game, ' the source said.

Honestly we hope the two can work it out.
