Controversial Trump Adviser Sebastian Gorka Reportedly Out at the White House

Citing two unnamed sources, the Examiner reported that Gorka will soon accept an assignment elsewhere in the administration, outside the White House.

Gorka has been serving on the Strategic Initiatives Group, an internal organization within the White House, and as a national security adviser.

While another said it was possible he would take another job in the administration, but added it was more likely he will leave altogether since Gorka was "simply generating too much controversy for the White House".

Gorka is widely disdained within the national security field, and several national-security experts have cast doubt on his credentials, questioning whether he has the experience to give advice in the White House.

"Three sources have told me that (National Security Advisor) HR McMaster can't stand Sebastian Gorka and has been trying to push him out", journalist Yashar Ali tweeted April 8.

A senior administration official said Gorka's new role, possibly in a federal agency, will involve countering radical Islamic ideologies in the "war of ideas", the Washington Examiner reported.

At least 18 Democratic representatives signed a letter calling on President Trump to dismiss the top security adviser. Gorka had access to Trump and that sort of thing sticks in the craw of a lot of small-minded, petty people who work in the White House.

A spokesperson for the White House told BuzzFeed News that there was "nothing to announce at this time" regarding Gorka.

In any case, it wasn't made clear where exactly Gorka will be working but, if the move goes through, it won't be within the State Department.

Regardless, Gorka apparently never got proper security clearance to perform his White House duties, so he's better off somewhere else where his talents can be put to use. His wearing of a medal awarded to his father by by the Hungarian group Vitezi Rend - or Order of Heroes - at the inaugural ball for the president raised eyebrows, as the group, which was anti-Soviet, has been linked by some to Nazi colluders.
