Is T-Mobile's Samsung Galaxy S8 BOGO Deal Bogus or Brilliant?

Melba UnderwoodMay 13, 2017

"The report on Samsung planning to sell refurbished Galaxy Note 7 smartphone in India is incorrect", a Samsung India spokesperson had said after some reports said that the company was planning to launch refurbished Note 7 in India. Needless to say, it was due to the fiasco that happened to the Galaxy S7.

The S8's camera has a ton of software features, plus new image processing chops thanks to Samsung's "multi-frame" photography.

In terms of the pricing, the Galaxy S5 Prime with 32GB of internal storage will cost you Rs. 14,900, which is exactly the same price at which initially the 16GB variant was launched. And now rumor has it that a refreshed version of the same could be launched in Korea soon.

It's not like Samsung's Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, seen as the company's return to form after the Note 7 debacle, are selling poorly.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus isn't ideal. Both of those full HD screens will come with tried-and-true Super AMOLED technology. For selfies, the phablet includes an autofocus 8MP camera paired with an f/1.7 aperture lens.

These apart, the W2017 also boasts of some top-end features such as wireless charging and fingerprint sensor.

The device also comes with a front 5-megapixel camera along with a 12-megapixel cam at the rear. However if you wanted two Galaxy S8 handsets, you're in luck. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 system chip with 2350 MHz 64-bit octa-core processor. The S Power planning mode extends battery life and the S Secure feature allow users to hide and lock applications, secure WiFi and create a separate Secure folder for images and applications.

The 3,200 mAh variant does make sense because, as was proved by the investigation, the reason why Note7 handsets were prone to exploding was that the housing was too small, and the battery was too big for it.
