Monaco ends 17-yr French title drought

It is Monaco's first top-flight title in 17 years and their eighth in total.

The 18-year-old put goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier on his backside with a drop of the shoulder before rolling the ball into an empty net from an acute angle.

Juve lead Serie A by four points with two games to go and are into a Champions League final against Real Madrid at the start of June.

Kylian Mbappe fired Monaco on their way to wrapping up the Ligue 1 title as they secured a 2-0 win over St Etienne on Wednesday night.

Rennes made it back-to-back wins themselves as they won 1-0 at Caen to move up to 9th as they're now assured of a top-half finish. Reports have suggested that Monaco have rejected the bid in the hope that Mbappe will stay at the Stade Louis II for one more season.

That being said, I highly doubt that Mbappe will feature prominently in Liverpool's future given what it would cost to sign him.

A year on from competing in the Coupe Gambardella, a tournament for Under-19s players, Mbappe is refusing to get carried away by the speculation. Unbeaten in the league in 2017, Monaco has also scored in its last 31 league games, a new record during a single season.

Kylian Mbappe would prefer to stay another season at Monaco despite interest from a host of Europe's top clubs, according to a Ligue 1 expert.

Real Madrid and Liverpool are amongst the clubs that have been linked with Mbappe, with the 18-year-old facing a hard decision regarding whether to stay at Monaco, where he is guaranteed regular playing time, or move elsewhere and run the risk of being mainly used as a substitute.

Mbappe, ever the team player, didn't even take the shot after that.

But evidently Liverpool are looking to steal a march as they are seek to develop their squad for Champions League participation next year, should they seal it with victory against Boro on Sunday.
